Pastor David Whitmore is Pastor here at Spread The WORD Ministries.  Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He acknowledged the Lord Jesus early in his life. Pastor Whitmore has served in the community all his life. God allowed him to be on the front lines of what was once called the Murder capital of the world (Detroit) as a paramedic with the Detroit Fire Department for 12 years (1973-1985), being one of the pioneers in the field. He has seen first hand the sufferings and pain that life can bring. Pastor David currently works as a Social Worker working with at-risk and delinquent young men, helping them to transition from detention facilities into mainstream society.  This has helped fuel his passion for serving God's people. 

In 1992 he accepted his call to the ministry, and under the mentoring of the late Pastor Leon Glover and was licensed to preach the gospel in 1997.  In June of 1998 he was ordained to the office of pastor by the presiding prelate of Go Tell It Ministry Worldwide Bishop Corletta Vaughn (Detroit, MI).  Pastor Whitmore also holds credentials with the International Pentecostal Holiness Churches.   A gifted teacher Pastor Whitmore expounds on the word of God and the many treasures found in the scriptures.

God has used him to win many souls into the kingdom and to heal the sick and mend the bruised. His ministry has seen many be healed from all manor of disease by the laying on of hands.  "With God nothing is impossible."
